With a digital video camera and headset, connected to a state-of-the-art PC, switchX clients can get together via the Internet and produce a TV- program. It is also possible to just use the multi-point conference features.
switchX provides:
- Audio-visual real time communication (IP-teleconference). An MCU (multi-point conferencing unit) provides various operating and display modes. Optional TLS/DTLS encryption.
- Transmission of audio and video sequences in broadcasting quality.
- Interfaces for standard editing software (e.g. Avid Media Composer) and Live- output using SDI.
switchX is a closed client- server solution with emphasis on simple deployment and usability of the client software. Supported are Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8.
Connected clients can either bring themselves "on air" by clicking a button or can be controlled by the server.
The switchX Server authenticates and configures the clients, stores and compiles the transmitted audio and video sequences and produces an edited file of the recorded TV-program/conference.
